Mark Inouye: Director of Special Education / Pupil Services. I have been the Director of Pupil Services in the Prescott School District since 2012. I currently oversee Special Education, Gifted/Talented, and English Language Learner programming. Prior to my move into administration, I was a School Psychologist in New Richmond for 11 year. I received a BA in 1997 from Bethel University in St. Paul, a Masters in Education in 2000 from UW Stout, and completed coursework for my Administrative license through UW Eau Claire in 2012. I currently live in Cottage Grove with my wife and two daughters. In my free time I like to workout, play with my kids, travel, and watch football (Go Vikings!). I am an advocate for inclusion whenever possible (particularly through a co-teaching model) and strongly believe that all students can learn.
Siri Vollan, Special Education Teacher: I have been in education since 1993, and have been working in Special Education and in the Prescott School District since 2005. I have 2 dogs; Miller, a Chesapeakeand Steely, a black Labrador. I am an only child who was born and raised in Minnesota. My BS Degree is in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from Dana College. I earned my Master of Arts Degree in Education from St.Mary's University, Minnesota. Hobbies include traveling (particularly to the ocean), attending and watching sporting events, music, and classic cars (I own a 62 Oldsmobile). Joani Samuelson, Education Assistant: I have been married for 40 years and I have two sons in their late 30's.I love my job, but I will retire when I get the chance. I have four grandchildren ages ranging from 3 years old to teenagers. I love to sing and am in my church choir. I do Karaoke when I can stay up past 9 PM, ha! I also enjoy traveling as often as I can.
Shannon Crawford, Special Education Teacher: My name is Shannon Crawford and I am the 7th grade special education teacher. I have a degree from the University-Wisconsin La Crosse in Middle Childhood-Early Adolescence Education and Cross-Categorical Special Education. I am from Eagan Minnesota, go Vikes! I love spending time with my family, hiking, fishing, camping-anything outdoors!
Melissa Langer, Special Education Assistant: I grew up in Diamond Bluff and graduated from Prescott High School in 1990. I'm married and now live in Oak Grove Township. I enjoy gardening in the summer and work on jigsaw puzzles in the winter. love to read and spend time with my great-nephew who will be 8 yrs old..
CourtneyWetherbee, Special Education Teacher: This is my sixth year teaching, all of them have been at Prescott Middle School. I graduated with a BA in Special Education and Elementary education from UW-Eau Claire. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Autism Spectrum Disorder. I love working with children, especially those at the wonderfully challenging 'tween age. I live in Hudson with my family, but I'm originally from Minnesota. Most of my free time is spent with my son, reading, and hiking. Becky Lease, Physical Therapist: Becky received her master's degree in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She has enjoyed working with children of all ages throughout her career in the schools, in the outpatient clinic, and providing home-based services for children who are medically fragile or under the age of 3. In addition to working at Prescott, she works for Children's Therapy Center based in Roberts, WI and spends time in 3 other school districts. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 sons as well as gardening, hiking, and scrapbooking.
Scott Hamilton- This is my 7th year of teaching in the Prescott School District. I have been mainly working with the Middle School and High School level students but have also had the privilege to work with a few elementary and 4K students over the years as well. I grew up just up highway 10 in Ellsworth and am a huge fan of any Wisconsin professional or college team and the MN Twins. I enjoy spending time outdoors mainly golfing and fishing. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and playing with my two cats.
Jackie Urman, Special Education Assistant: I have worked PSD since the Spring of 2008 and have enjoyed educating students at the elementary, middle school, high school, and early childhood levels. I also mentor new special education aides on becoming Highly Qualified. Originally from Hastings, MN, I attended Hastings Public Schools. I'm married to Mike,and have six children who have graduated from, or currently attend, Prescott schools. Currently living in Clifton Township, I spend free time hanging out with my family, attending wrestling meets, football and baseball games, stock car races, and travelling.
Megan Bulingame, DHH Teacher:Upon graduating from Augustana College in 2006, I got a job with CESA #11 as an Itinerate Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher. With CESA, I had 4-6 school districts to travel to on daily/weekly basis. Currently, I'm employed by Ellsworth Community Schools and contracted to Prescott School District for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Services. Two years ago, Prescott gave me the opportunity to "expand my horizons" and work with the Gifted and Talented students at the middle school. It has been a blast! I live in St. Paul Park with my husband, Dave and two boys, Eli (6) and Noah (4). We are expecting Baby Girl's arrival any day now...
Brenda Plante, Special Education Assistant: I have worked with children at Malone Elementary and the Middle School since 2000. I currently work at the Middle School level. I have been married to my husband Paul since 1989; and I have twin sons who graduated from the Prescott School District. I have lived in the township of Oak Grove since 1996. I have 2 dogs, a German Shepherd, Mocha and a Boston Terrier, Zeus. I also have a pet tree frog, Squirt! My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, traveling, photography, reading, cooking / baking, fishing, hiking, and arts and crafts.
