Useful Tips
- Students should be reading nightly at their independent reading level.
A good rule of thumb is a minimum of 30 minutes nightly.
- It is also helpful for a parent, grandparent, or older sibling to read to your student. This is good modeling for the student.
- 5 Finger Test; if a student mispronounces 5 or more words on a page....the text is too difficult for them.
